Stop Looking for a way out, and look for a way forward

When I graduated beauty school (back in 2005), I remember being so inspired and excited to start my journey in the beauty industry.

I couldn’t wait to go all in and build a profitable salon business!

Fast forward a few months later, and I found myself pregnant and shortly after that single.

My world went into a tailspin, my priorities shifted, however, this dream of having a successful beauty business was still in my heart. But when things got tough behind the chair, I ran from our industry to find financial security for me and my son elsewhere.

I know I did the right thing at the time, but I often wonder…what would have happened if I didn’t let fear drive my decision.

The problem is, we get stuck in our own way and end up wasting more time worrying, than taking action.

Instead, "we have to pursue solutions like our life depends on it."

Find someone who can help you, someone who has experience achieving the goal that you want.

Dan Sullivan wrote a book called “Who not How.” In it, he says ‘When we want something done, we've been trained to ask ourselves: "How can I do this?" Well, there is a better question to ask. One that unlocks a whole new world of ease and accomplishment. Instead, we should ask "Who can do this for me?"

So what is it that you are in pursuit of, but you keep getting stuck? Maybe you’re procrastinating? Maybe you don’t know where to start? Maybe you need some outside support?

I didn’t have time to wait until my income became stable. I had to make it work ASAP.

The systems I put in place in my beauty business helped me:

❤️Pay myself the same amount weekly so I could put my family on a budget (and still pay myself on vacay)

❤️Pursued Continued Education Quarterly

❤️Managed Salon Finances and organized my money to work for me

❤️Increase Income behind the chair
