3 Ways to Maximize Your Profits by Introducing Clients to New Products and Services

Recently, I had a girls day out with my aunt and my mom. It honestly was AMAZING! (if you haven’t had a girls day in a while - 10/10 recommend getting that on the calendar)

My aunt used to work in retail and was the District Manager for stores like Chico’s, Soma, Coach, and Express.

She was in๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผher๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผelement๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

It was inspiring to watch as she pulled clothes for me to try that I would have NEVER pulled off the rack.

Several of the items she pulled were linen.

Now, I have to tell you, I have not worn any linen before. But I told her what I was frustrated with - being uncomfortable, being overheated in this Florida heat, and feeling out of style.

Some of these linen items were a bit pricey - but - holy moly were they lightweight, comfortable, and stylish. They solved ALL the problems I mentioned to her.

Do you think I invested in those items after seeing the value?! Absolutely! (ok, she treated me to a few for my birthday, but then I got more because I loved them so much!!)

And here’s the thing - If she hadn’t taken charge and made suggestions from her expertise, I wouldn’t have grabbed any of those things.

See, the problem is, your clients don’t know what they need because you’re not suggesting it to them.

In our industry, we have lost our confidence in our experience. We are allowing the clients to direct the ship vs us directing and allowing them to fully enjoy the view.

It is our job to introduce our clients to new things that they didn’t know they needed.

So how do we introduce our clients to new products and services?

#1 Listen to their pain points

#2 Make your professional recommendations for additional services

#3 If you don’t have time for those services today, prebook them for the next visit

Your ‘needlework’ (homework that moves the needle forward in your business) is to look at your day, look at each client, and decide what that client could benefit from. If you have new clients, be sure to ask open-ended questions about the challenges they have with cut, color, condition, etc.

I will be here, cheering you on, in my linen pants ๐Ÿ˜†

My prayer for you is that you refuse to listen to the fear and you step into your confidence.

Love,
Mandy
